I chose to live in Gold Beach in 1989 primarily because I wanted to live near the Rogue River and the Pacific Ocean. Whether we want to go to the beach and look for agates, go up river and fish, or sit on one of the headlands reading a book, my family never has to worry about crowds or getting it all in over a quick weekend. Living here means we can get out and enjoy this place the good Lord blessed us with any time we want, and getting to share it with other people that appreciate how lucky we really are.

BJ came to Rogue Sportsman's Realty in 2003 from Montana where she had been a Realtor for 10 years and a broker with her own office for the last seven of those 10 years. She is licensed in both Montana and Oregon. She resides in Nesika Beach and had dreamed of being in the Gold Beach area for many years.

BJ has a 35 year background in Nursing with primary focus on Clinical Management. Working in this field she feels she has an edge for working with compassion. "People make my world go around, commitment and integrity make my work day and I have never had a bad day yet" she says.

Gold Beach Homes from Allan Terrett Choosing to live on the southern Oregon coast says a lot about a person. I personally enjoy the tranquility of the forest and the excitement of the ocean. Gold Beach is an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. I moved here with my wife Robin in 1975 from London, England. For her it was returning home, but for me it was the start of a continuing adventure.

Upon arriving in Gold Beach I went to work for my father-in-law, National Basketball Hall of Famer, "Laddie" Gale, at Sportsman's Realty, Inc.. He taught me the business and so much more about people. To him honesty went without saying and ethical behavior was essential. The firms' reputation was built on this, and when he retired in 1981, we made a pledge to maintain that reputation. In 2004 the firm became Rogue Sportsman's Realty, and I stepped back to being a broker and Dante Concetto, a long time friend and agent took over the ownership and running of the company.

My husband and I made the decision to move to Gold Beach from Colorado in 1999 after vacationing here many times. We continue to love and appreciate the area and the people. We realize that this is the place, the best place for us to be.

My experience in Gold Beach has included many forms of public service such as the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, as a Gold Beach City Councilor, as Treasurer of the Gold Beach Rotary Club, and as a member of various community minded committees.
